Meet our Camp Director
Hello! My name is Meghan Casey and I’m Camp Weloki’s director. I fell in love with Camp Weloki during my first week as a camper twenty years ago! During my time with camp I was always interested in bettering myself and my skills at camp. Since coming as a camper I have become a CIT, counselor, and most recently an instructor.
Camp Weloki has been an integral part of my life and I know the skills that I learned at camp have molded me to be the person I am today. The friendships I’ve formed and guidance the counselors offered me was one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever received.
After I received my bachelor’s degree in human development I spent several years teaching preschool. I am now a parent educator with Parents as Teachers where I love guiding parents to recognize their greatness. I know the skills I've gained from all my years at camp have assisted me in becoming the confidant professional women I am.
I'm thrilled to be the camp director so that I can give back to girls the gifts I learned at camp.
I am eager to serve you by answering any questions you have about Camp Weloki. Please feel encouraged to email me at or call my office at (636) 530-1883 with questions you may have about our camps. I am happy to give you the answers you need!
We are very proud of our Camp Weloki staff and all the wonderful energy and loving compassion they bring to our campers. Many of our staff who return year after year were once former campers themselves before they were picked to become part of our staff. They are always exceptional people with many skills and talents to share and are exceptionally committed to children and their well-being.
We have college students, teachers and business people that share in the missions of Camp Weloki and help each summer at our camp sessions.
All staff are:
screened with criminal background checks
have personal interviews with our Director
attend staff retreats each year and are encouraged to work on their own personal growth
mixed age groups from 21-50 years old
Counselors in training are high school campers that go through a highly selective training process
Our staff are essential in helping the children and teenagers feel connected and special while creating a fun atmosphere in which to learn and grow. All of our staff contain the natural ability to engage every camper and to bring out the best in them. They work tirelessly from sun up to lights out to be sure every camper has the best week of their lives. Because of their commitment and the way they treat campers, many of our campers come back year after year and want to become part of our staff when they are mature enough.
